At the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of Chemistry and Bioscience, a position as Senior Researcher in Natural Product Chemistry is open for appointment from 1 June 2026 or soon hereafter.
Your work tasks
We are looking for an independent, flexible, motivated, and service minded Senior Researcher who will primarily provide research support within biophysical methods, with particular focus on mass spectrometry (MS). The position involves collaboration with researchers in various internally and externally funded research projects.
While the main focus will be on research support and the operation of advanced laboratory infrastructure, the position also includes teaching responsibilities. Additionally, there will be opportunities to establish and lead your own research activities. In close collaboration with colleagues across the department, the position holder will contribute to maintaining and further developing an infrastructure that delivers state of the art technologies.

Appointment as senior researcher requires research and teaching qualifications at the level that can be achieved through the satisfactory completion of a period of employment as researcher but may also be obtained in other ways.
It is a precondition that applicants have documented research at an international standard. In addition, applicants are assumed to have received supervision and pedagogical skills development and to have obtained a positive written assessment of their teaching qualifications.

Salary and terms of employment
