Our distributors use the UnicontrolCloud solution to support and diagnose installations and provide great customer support.

We provide a broad product portfolio, and all their data is connected and synced to UnicontrolCloud, helping our customers utilize their data to work more efficient. About the job
As our lead frontend developer, you will play a key role in developing our cloud/SaaS platform that connects our customers' machines and projects, making the necessary data available in real time across locations, ultimately ensuring better workflows in infrastructure and building projects around the world.

As part of our cloud team, you will work with and be responsible for the UI/UX and architecture of our SaaS system. Our development environment is Docker-based, enabling us to easily create a development replica of the production environment and facilitating development. This makes it possible to develop UI in a very realistic setup for prototyping innovative solutions.

We are in close dialogue with our customers to ensure our design is easy to use and fits their needs. We do iterative, agile development with continuous testing and customer and partner feedback, and you will play a key role in the development process.

Your primary tasks will be to develop and lead our Frontend UI. We develop a React/Typescript solution from the ground up, configured with Webpack, pre-commit hooks, Babel, Eslint and Prettier. The application embraces state-of-the-art practices, primarily using functional components and hooks; state management utilises Redux; and the UI is based on the Material UI component library.

Your profile
You have been coding for many years, either professionally or on private projects, and your friends and colleagues would say you are a strong programmer. You know how to structure an application, the dos and don’ts to enable efficient feature development. You have a passion for great software design and for implementing it, and you really enjoy trying out new tools and techniques.

Your mission in previous jobs has not been to endlessly develop or over-engineer solutions, but rather to use only the energy and resources necessary to achieve the required performance. In doing so, you exercise strong interpersonal skills and communicate clearly and to the point. You can visualise the optimal solution and work efficiently in a team while having fun.

Key points on your profile:

• Degree in Software Engineering or similar
• Minimum three years of professional experience with frontend development
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and Material UI
• Solid understanding of modern frontend architecture, performance optimization, and scalable component design
• Experience with modern build tooling such as Vite or Webpack
• Experience with unit testing and test frameworks (e.g. Jest, React Testing Library, or similar)
• A strong eye for creating beautiful, intuitive, and responsive user interfaces with a deep understanding of UX/UI best practices

It will be considered an advantage if you also have experience with:

• CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows
• Containerization and cloud infrastructure (Docker, Docker-compose, Kubernetes, AWS)
• Geospatial or map-based solutions (e.g. Mapbox or similar libraries)
• Python and general database understanding
