Your position

In your new position as Security Operations Engineer in the Digital & IT division, you will be a valuable member of our growing information security team whose mission is to build practical, technically sound security solutions across the organisation. You will have the chance to work at the intersection of security, technology, and business - with real influence on how security is designed and implemented in practice. Your place of work will be at either our Global HQ in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, or our satellite office in Nordhavn, Copenhagen. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel approximately 10 days per year.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As a Security Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for operating and continuously improving security controls across our cloud and on-premises environments.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Designing, implementing, and improving information security controls across cloud and on-prem environments, with a strong focus on Azure
• Owning and developing core security capabilities such as identity and access management, vulnerability management, and secure configuration practices
• Performing security threat analysis in connection with incidents, near-misses, and risk scenarios, and using findings to strengthen controls and overall resilience
• Translating security requirements, risk assessments, and policies into technically actionable controls and implementation guidance
• Supporting and adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards in all activities

Your profile & qualifications

We are looking for a structured and analytical security professional who is passionate about operational security and wants to leave their personal mark on it. You have a pragmatic and collaborative approach to your work and are eager to drive continuous security improvement in a complex, international environment.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

• A relevant degree and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a technical information security role with an engineering or implementation focus
• Strong technical understanding of Azure and cloud security concepts, including identity and access management, networking, logging, and monitoring
• Practical experience with identity and access management and vulnerability management in enterprise environments
• Ability to assess new software, platforms, and vendors from a security perspective, translating identified risks into concrete requirements and recommendations
• Knowledge of security standards and frameworks relevant to operational security (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls)
