Driving Global S/4HANA Transformation

As a leader in ABENA Data, you will combine your leadership and collaboration skills with your experience in change management. You will play a key role in ABENA’s global technical implementation, ensuring that solutions are scalable, robust, and anchored in business needs. With significant freedom to shape both the team’s structure and the technical strategy, you will also serve as a trusted advisor to IT and business stakeholders alike.

As SAP Tech Manager, we expect you to have a deep understanding of how technical SAP development and integration processes are implemented and adapted in practice—and how these differ from standard business processes. You will balance standard technical functionality with necessary customizations, including integrations and secure data handling via defined interfaces—often requiring technical development and coding.

Right now, ABENA Data is engaged in exciting projects, including supporting the global rollout of a new S/4HANA 2024 Greenfield implementation. You will be part of an organization working with the latest technology stack. Platforms such as Fiori, BASIS, and advanced integration solutions will be central to our global S/4HANA 2025 implementation.

Build and Lead a New Team

As the leader of our ERP Tech Team, you will be responsible for both people management and the planning and coordination of technical tasks in close collaboration with cross-functional project managers. While not a project manager yourself, you will act as technical coordinator and sparring partner across diverse initiatives with many stakeholders involved.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing the competencies of your team
• Planning, coordinating, and ensuring transparency in technical deliveries
• Translating business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Acting as system architect within your domain, primarily technical infrastructure
• Managing internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinating cross-functional initiatives
• Contributing to technical documentation and solution quality assurance
• Supporting governance and compliance within the SAP landscape

Success in this role means building a well-functioning team that proactively supports ABENA’s digital strategy while ensuring clarity and progress in technical operations and development.

You should expect 25–30 days of annual travel in connection with the role.

What You Bring to the Table

We imagine you come from a larger organization using SAP and bring both leadership experience and technical SAP expertise. Perhaps you are currently leading a smaller SAP team or working as a project manager in SAP technical operations.
