We are looking for a highly motivated Research Assistant,
who will lead a research project that characterizes the role of the kinase RSK2 as a tumor suppressor in liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma).
Research area of the position We study novel tumor suppressors in hepatocellular carcinoma via generation of liver cancer mouse models using somatic liver engineering via hydrodynamic tail vein injection of CRISPR. Tumors in the mouse models are analyzed by histology, mRNA expression profiling etc and by accompanying CRISPR edited cell lines.
Your Profile We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Research Assistant with the following competencies and experience:
- Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Molecular Biomedicine, or related sciences.
- FELASA certificate is an absolute requirement
- Track record with generation and characterization of liver cancer mouse models using CRISPR-based hydrodynamic tail vein injection is an absolute requirement.
- Prior experience and expertise in genomic engineering using CRISPR-Cas9 is an absolute requirement.
- Experience in basic cellular and molecular biology
- Excellent English skills, written and spoken

Terms of salary and employment The employment as research assistant is a full-time position.
The expected employment period is from 19 July 2026 until 18 March 2027.
Employment will be in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). The employer will pay an additional 18,07 % to your pension fund.
Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
