We are looking for a research assistant for the TRANSFORM project. The TRANSFORM project’s purpose is to help solve the land use-related crises; biodiversity loss, eutrophication of the aquatic environments, unsustainable farming systems, and climate change by providing tools and knowledge to underpin the green transition of Danish landscapes aligned with the aim of the Green Tripartite Agreement (GTA).

The position is open from 1st of June 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is for maximum 2 years.

Job description

As a research assistant you will be part of the research project TRANSFORM. The mission of TRANSFORM is to establish an interdisciplinary research consortium combining environmental, human, social, agroecological, biological, economic and legal sciences in collaborative, co-creating, action-oriented research. We want to provide the knowledge foundation for a sustainable and comprehensive transformation of the Danish landscape.

The position as research assistant in TRANSFORM consists of many different tasks related to both research and administration such as collecting and analyzing data, assisting with publications and presentations, maintaining project records and contributing to reporting. The job requires close dialogue and collaboration with stakeholders at various levels.

Required competencies and experience

The successful candidate must have competencies and expertise in the following:

  • A MSc-level education in Nature Management, Landscape architect, Biology, Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, Geography or a related field
  • Thorough knowledge of the Green Tripartite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Danish and English, both written and oral.
  • Experience working with data, interviews and documentation
  • Project management, organizational and coordination skills
  • Strong planning competences
  • Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary collaborations
  • Strong self-motivation, attention to detail, and a team player
Terms of employment

The employment as Research Assistant is a full-time position. The workplace is located at Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management, Frederiksberg. Travel activities mainly in Denmark are expected in connection with meetings, workshops etc.

The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.

Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
