ENGINEER FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF CAST IRON SOLUTIONS

Are you able to collaborate professionally with some of the major players in the automotive industry, where a strong focus is placed on safety, quality and delivery performance?

Are you passionate about working with national and international customers to develop competitive cast iron solutions that match our production facilities effectively?

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

THE POSITION

With reference to the company's RFQ Manager (Request for Quotation), we are seeking a Process Engineer to take responsibility for developing customer-specific cast iron solutions alongside our other Process Engineers.

You will have a wide range of internal and external contacts, and your primary task will be to provide casting technology support to customers, ensuring that castings are produced efficiently and to a high quality standard at our DISA production facility.

Working closely with our Account Managers and technicians, you will play an active role in selecting components for our DISA production facility. You will also work closely with our Business Controlling department to ensure the technical layout is prepared as a cost basis for new products and major product revisions.

You will also work closely with relevant subcontractors to ensure that any outsourced components are manufactured in accordance with the customer's requirements specification.

This close and broad cooperation requires physical presence at our location in Holstebro, but the position also offers the opportunity to work from home, subject to agreement with your manager.

As a company and as individuals, we are responsible and honest in both word and deed. Do you share these values? If so, you could be our new colleague.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your main tasks, in no particular order of priority, will be to:

  • Participate in feasibility assessments and selection of topics for production.

  • Develop cast iron solutions in collaboration with the customer.

  • Prepare technical presentations and find the most cost-effective solution based on these presentations.

  • Participate in FMEA work.

  • Participate in cross-organisational teams dealing with complaints and quality cases.

  • Contribute to the implementation of new technological solutions that can optimise our production processes and maintain our competitive edge.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • You are a trained manufacturing engineer who wants to work on developing cast iron solutions.

  • Ideally, you will have experience in working with vertical DISA casting and core production.

  • Experience with MAGMA software will also be an advantage.

  • You have extensive experience with CAD software; we use CATIA.

  • Knowledge of the automotive industry's quality standard IATF 16949, including APQP, PPAP and FMEA, would be an added bonus.

  • You also have a good understanding of IT and can work effortlessly in ERP systems.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

You are a strong communicator who works analytically and systematically. You are self-motivated and build natural trust around you, which inspires and creates commitment.

You are solution-oriented and able to establish constructive relationships with colleagues and partners, enabling us to maintain a common agenda

You are a good team player with a curious and inquisitive attitude to solving tasks. Your approach to the assignments is service-oriented and structured, and your drive makes it natural for you to take responsibility and, not least, meet deadlines.

You are ready to take on greater responsibility, not only performing tasks yourself, but also inspiring your team to take responsibility and complete tasks.

As a person, you are outgoing and resilient, and you thrive on complex problems in an environment with short and tight deadlines.

Language-wise, you are fluent in English and Danish.
