Do you want to shape one of Denmark’s most significant technology and infrastructure projects? Banedanmark is looking for a dedicated Project Manager to lead major software upgrades for Denmark’s new digital railway signalling system (ERTMS) – a cornerstone in delivering a reliable, safe and modern railway About the role As Project Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of major software upgrades to the new digital signalling system, including defect corrections, functional enhancements and new capabilities. You will work closely with suppliers, technical specialists and end-users to ensure seamless delivery and continuous improvement of a system that millions of passengers rely on.
You will join the Signal area in Banedanmark’s IT & Digital Transformation division. - Planning, risk and issue management
- Contract and change management with major long-term suppliers
- Financial and resource management
- Stakeholder and interface coordination across the organization

At Signal, we are an international environment with many cultures and languages. Internal communication is in Danish or English, while collaboration with suppliers is primarily in English.

You understand the critical path across technical disciplines and know how to lead teams with diverse specialist backgrounds. Experience with supplier management is essential.

You bring the following personal qualities:
- Structured, motivated and focused
- Skilled relationship-builder
- Technically curious and willing to learn
- Solution-oriented
- Clear communicator in English. Danish is an advantage.
What We Offer You will play a central role in the development of Denmark’s railway signalling system – a critical digital infrastructure for the entire transport sector. You will join a skilled, proficient professional community with a well established IT/OT culture and close interdisciplinary collaboration.
We offer:
- Professional development opportunities, including dedicated leadership training for Project Managers
- A workplace prioritizing diversity, inclusion and modern leadership
- A modern working environment with good work–life balance, fitness facilities and health care
- A central office location in Copenhagen close to Dybbølsbro Station, with parking basement for both car and bicycle
