Applications are invited for a permanent project administrator position within the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University. The position is a part-time position (24 hrs per week) and will be open from 1 June, 2026.
 

Job description

The project administrator is expected to serve as secretariat for the Plant Molecular Biology section.

Typical management task associated with the running of the section´s activities include: Arranging progress meetings, seminars and annual retreats; assembling and editing of annual reports; supporting new applications; editing publications, theses and reports; arranging travel; performing ad-hoc administrative tasks as required by the group and potentially also discussing administrative and budget issues with the University administration.

In addition, the project manager is expected to provide individual members of the section with insight and guidance on the university administrative system.
 

Your profile

The Plant Molecular Biology section is coordinating or partnering with several international project groups. Experience with project administration and support as well as excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English is therefore an advantage. 

 

Who we are

The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics is part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Aarhus University and comprises research within the areas of Plant Molecular Biology, Neurobiology, RNA Biology and Innovation, Protein Science, Cellular Health, Intervention and Nutrition. There are currently 75 full time scientific staff and 95 PhD students. The department is responsible for two educations: Molecular Biology and Molecular Medicine with a yearly uptake of 160 students in total.
