We are looking for a skilled and passionate Indian Cook with experience in authentic Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of Indian spices, traditional cooking methods, and can maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes (curries, tandoori, biryani, starters, naan, etc.)
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size
Prepare ingredients (cutting, marinating, spice mixes)
Operate kitchen equipment including tandoor oven (if applicable)
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene according to food safety standards
Manage stock and reduce food waste
Work efficiently during busy service hours
Follow recipes and restaurant standards
Collaborate with kitchen team and management
Requirements
Proven experience as an Indian cook or chef
Strong knowledge of Indian spices and traditional cooking techniques
Experience with North Indian dishes (preferred)
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Understanding of food safety and hygiene
Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications (Preferred but Not Required)
Culinary training or relevant certification
Experience with tandoor cooking
Experience working in a professional Indian restaurant
