We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to support the work of the Pers Group at The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR), to start June 15, 2026, or after agreement.
Our research The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) is an academic research Center that pioneers groundbreaking research towards better cardiometabolic health. Through collaborative interdisciplinary research CBMR aims to transform the basic understanding of cardiometabolic health and accelerate its translation into prevention and treatment strategies. The Center’s uniquely multi- and interdisciplinary approach combines research in genetics, physiology and pharmacology, to better understand the complex interplay of the many factors that drive cardiometabolic disease. CBMR was established in 2010 at the
Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences and has been located in the Maersk Tower at the Panum building since 2017. The around 260 employees create an international, highly collaborative research environment across disciplines.
Our group and research The
Pers Group investigates how genetic variation influences obesity and type 2 diabetes by mapping gene regulation and cell function in the brain. Using single-cell genomics, perturbation technologies, and transgenic models, we identify brain cell populations and molecular pathways through which genetic risk impacts metabolic health

Place of employment The place of employment is the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, Maersk Tower, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in a dynamic and international research environment.
Terms of salary and employment The employment as Laboratory Assistant is a permanent position. The average working hours is 10 hours pr. week. Expected starting date is June 15, 2026, or after agreement.
Employment as Laboratory Assistant will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and OAO/HK STAT. The position is placed in salary group 1.
