Are you ready to start your career where your code makes a real impact? At Semco Maritime, we don’t just write software - we engineer the future of energy. This is your chance to learn, grow, and work on projects that power offshore platforms, enable renewable energy, and transform the industry. If you want a role where you’ll gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies, this is it.

Your Position

You will have the opportunity to learn from experts by working alongside experienced developers and architects who will mentor you throughout your journey. You will work with modern technologies, including Azure cloud-native solutions, microservices, event-driven architecture, AI-driven enhancements, and contemporary front-end frameworks. Your growth will be supported through dedicated training and involvement in real-world projects, enabling you to develop rapidly. Your contributions will have a tangible impact, supporting global energy projects ranging from offshore wind farms to defence and transitional energy initiatives.

At Semco Maritime safety is a core value, and in this role, you will contribute to maintaining and promoting a strong safety culture while delivering innovative solutions. Above all, your work will make a real change for the global energy sector.

Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront – views do not get any better than this. The position is full-time, and you can expect up to travel 10 days per year.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Assist in building full-stack applications that are scalable, secure, and cloud-native
  • Learn to design modern architectures: microservices, domain-driven design, and clean code principles
  • Support integration development using API-first principles and event-driven patterns
  • Gain experience in secure coding practices and compliance standards
  • Explore automation: testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability
  • And yes - we work with AI, and you’ll learn how to use it to enhance solutions

Your Profile & Qualifications

As part of Semco Maritime’s IT organization, you will partner with business stakeholders to design and deliver applications optimizing processes and enabling business-critical outcomes, so teamwork capabilities are important. We work in an agile setup with regular ceremonies to ensure transparency, predictability, and continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with developers in Esbjerg, Denmark, and colleagues around the globe.

To succeed in the role, we are hoping to see:

  • A recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar
  • Familiarity with .NET (C#) and at least one front-end framework
  • Interest in cloud technologies, API design, and agile development
  • Enjoys challenges and is motivated by solving complex problems
  • A curious mindset, eagerness to learn, and commitment to quality
  • Fluency in English is a requirement. Fluency in Danish is a plus.
