About FLC:
At Femern Link Contractors (FLC), we are responsible for designing and constructing the immersed tunnel, portals and ramps on both ends of the tunnel, in Rødbyhavn and Puttgarden.
We are also building the facilities for prefabricating tunnel elements as well as accommodation facilities, also known as the “Tunnel village” in Rødbyhavn, which provides housing for FLC workers.
About the department:
FLC is looking for an Intern in Lean Management/Industrial Processes to join our continuous improvement efforts and optimize our production processes. The Intern will support in analyzing and improving our production cycles, reducing waste and inefficiencies and implementing Lean methodologies. The ideal candidate is highly motivated in executing improvements at the shopfloor level and support the team in various topics.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Actively contributes to analyse existing processes, to identify efficiency potentials and to develop optimization concepts
Participates in the implementation of Lean methods for process optimization, including before/after measures
Works directly on the shopfloor, perform observations and take ownership in the implementation of improvements
Conducts data analyses to measure process performance and prepare meaningful reports
Takes part in workshops, training sessions and meetings to enhance knowledge of industrial construction
Creates layouts and visual concepts/documents for process improvements and the standardization process
Qualifications:
High motivation to work on the shopfloor with a hands-on and practical approach
Student in civil engineering, industrial engineering, business management or a related field
Fluent in English - speaking and writing
Ability to identify waste and inefficiencies in processes and develop effective and practical solutions
You possess a willingness to learn new topics and a strong sense of teamwork
High quality mindset in prepared documents e.g. PowerPoint presentations
Good in communication - team internal and with stakeholders
