About the role
You will provide accounting support to the Finance & Grants Senior Programme Manager, with responsibilities covering administration, budgeting, financial reporting, and related tasks:

  • Post transactions to the financial ERP system and perform account reconciliations.
  • Process and verify supplier invoices; ensure accurate coding and timely payments in compliance with ICARS financial policies.
  • Review, validate, and process staff travel expense claims, ensuring compliance with guidelines and correct account coding.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in verification of reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support project teams in our partner countries with setting up administrative frameworks, financial procedures and processes.
  • Assist with ongoing and annual audits, including preparing materials and contributing to the development of the annual report.
  • Other financial duties as assigned by the line manager.
Your qualifications

  • Recognised vocational education (erhvervsuddannelse) or equivalent competencies based on job experience with focus on accounting.
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial administration tasks (posting transactions, reconciliations, invoice/payment processing, account coding, report preparation, audit support).
  • Experience with project administration and basic financial controlling is an advantage.
  • Experience calculating and processing payroll files is an advantage.
  • Strong IT skills, including excellent Excel proficiency. Experience with Navision Stat (or similar ERP), RejsUd, SDI, Public 360 or equivalent financial / case / document management systems, payroll system SLS, preferred.
  • Able to work in teams as well as independently, take initiative, and solve problems proactively.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks under changing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Fluent English - Danish is an asset due to the need to contact Danish-speaking partners.
Your team will provide comprehensive onboarding on ICARS-specific systems, processes, and guidelines.

Terms of employment

Salary and appointment terms will be based on the collective agreement between the organizational agreement between The Danish Finance Ministry and the Organisation for Salaried Employees HK/Stat (Organisationsaftale for kontorfunktionærer, laboranter og it-medarbejdere (HK)).

We are located at the Campus of Statens Serum Institute in Copenhagen, Denmark where the position is also currently located.

For citizens living outside Denmark, relocation is a requirement. In this case a monthly relocation supplement and a relocation package consisting of a lumpsum and administrative assistance by settling in Denmark is added to your salary.

Please note that your total income is subject to taxation according to ordinary Danish tax rules and not under special beneficial tax schemes.

The position is available from 1 January 2026.
