Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Tandoor Chef to join our culinary team and bring the aut-hentic flavors of traditional Indian to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a deepunderstanding of tandoor cooking techniques, including preparation of meats, bread, andvegetables, and be skilled at operating and maintaining a tandoor oven. This role requires apassion for tandoori dishes, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and consi-stency in each dish served.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare and cook a variety of tandoor dishes, such as tandoori chicken, lamb ke-babs, naan, roti, and other clay oven-baked items, ensuring quality and presenta-tion standards are consistently met.

  • Handle and prepare marinades, spice mixtures, and other ingredients to enhancethe authenticity and flavor of tandoor dishes.

  • Effectively operate, monitor, and control the temperature of the tandoor oven toachieve the desired cooking results.

2. Kitchen Maintenance & Hygiene

  • Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of the tandoor oven, utensils, and workarea.

  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times, maintaining a clean, or-ganized, and safe work environment.

  • Manage inventory and coordinate the restocking of spices, ingredients, and suppliesneeded for tandoori cooking.

3. Recipe & Menu Development

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new tandoori items and seasonal spe-cialties that align with customer preferences and restaurant standards.

  • Stay updated on culinary trends to introduce creative, high-quality tandoorofferings.

4. Quality Assurance

  • Consistently monitor the quality, freshness, and presentation of all tandoori items,ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure that all food is prepared quickly and efficiently, following order specificationsand serving standards.

  • Proven experience as a Tandoor Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurantsetting.

  • In-depth knowledge of tandoori cooking techniques, traditional spices, marinades,and flavor profiles.

  • Experience working with and maintaining a tandoor oven.

  • Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple orders simultaneously.

  • Excellent knife skills and knowledge of tandoor-related techniques.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Passion for authentic Indian cuisine and a keen eye for presentation.
