Robotic Motion Engineering - From Factory Floor to Global On-Site Deployment
Are you passionate about robotics and interested in developing advanced robotic systems used in major construction projects worldwide?
At GMT Robotics, we develop large-scale industrial robotic systems that automate the production of complex reinforcement structures for the global construction industry. Our solutions combine industrial robots (Yaskawa, Nachi, OTC), custom tooling, heavy mechanical systems, and advanced motion control to solve demanding real-world production challenges.
We are a fast-growing robotics engineering company based in Denmark, and we are looking for an experienced Robotics Engineer (3-5 years) to join Core Robotics - a specialized team of robotics engineers within our R&D organization.
Could you imagine working directly with robotic motion in systems where robots interact with heavy mechanical structures and real production variability? Achieving stable and efficient robot behavior under these conditions requires careful work with motion planning, calibration and system behavior under load, then we might have just the job for you!
Your New Role
You will collaborate closely with PLC & vision engineers, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers, contributing to robotic solutions from concept and development through testing, commissioning and deployment at customer sites around the world.
This is a hands-on robotics engineering role, working close to hardware and real machines and software development, rather than purely simulation.
Your work will involve developing and optimizing robot motion strategies, improving trajectory planning cycle time, optimizing robotic welding, pick & place processes and repeatability in demanding industrial environments. You will program and tune industrial robots such as Yaskawa, Nachi, OTC, support system integration and testing, and troubleshoot robotic behaviour during system validation and commissioning.
You will take technical ownership of robotic subsystems and follow them from early development and simulation through FAT, commissioning and global deployment.
The role includes international travel (approximately 30-50 days per year) for system commissioning, validation and troubleshooting.
Your Background
We are looking for an engineer with hands-on experience working with industrial robotics and an interest in solving complex motion challenges in real production environments.
You likely:
have 3-5 years of experience working with industrial robots
hold a degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
have experience programming and optimizing industrial robots in production environments
understand robot kinematics, motion behaviour and mechanical interaction
have experience with robot system integration, testing or commissioning
Working at GMT Robotics
Robotics is a core discipline within our R&D organization, and our Core Robotics team of four engineers works closely with specialists in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and control systems to develop complete robotic systems.
Our working language is English, and we have an informal and trust-based engineering culture where collaboration, ownership and knowledge sharing are central to how we work.
Engineers work close to the hardware and take responsibility for their systems as they move from concept to production and global deployment.
Why Join GMT Robotics?
At GMT Robotics you will work with advanced robotic systems deployed in factories around the world, solving challenging engineering problems in demanding industrial environments.
You will join a specialized robotics team within a growing international company and gain hands-on experience with complex robotic systems, global system commissioning and real industrial production challenges.
We offer a competitive salary, lunch scheme, social activities and a professional yet informal work culture combining humour and professionalism.
Apply for this position based at our headquarters near Copenhagen, Denmark
We welcome applicants who already have the right to work in the EU and are open to relocating to Denmark. We are currently unable to sponsor visas or support relocation from outside the EU.
