Are you passionate about building robust, secure, and well-engineered end-to-end IT solutions? Come be part of our IT organization and work on projects, which power every part of our business – from defense and transitional energies to offshore wind and sustainable energy. Join Semco Maritime and help shape the digital backbone of the energy sector with cloud-native software, modern integrations, and disciplined engineering practices.

Your Position

A full-time role in an international organisation focused on innovation and sustainability, delivering solutions that make a meaningful impact on the energy sector. Agile ways of working with time reserved for technical debt reduction and architecture reviews. We also offer excellent opportunities for career development and mentoring, individual development plans, and regular knowledge-sharing.

At Semco Maritime safety is a core value, and in this role, you will contribute to maintaining and promoting a strong safety culture while delivering innovative solutions. Above all, your work will make a real change for the global energy sector.

Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront – views do not get any better than this. The position is full-time, and you can expect up to travel 10 days per year.

As part of Semco Maritime’s IT organization, you will partner with business stakeholders to design and deliver applications optimizing processes and enabling business-critical outcomes. We work in an agile setup with regular ceremonies to ensure transparency, predictability, and continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with developers in Esbjerg, Denmark, and colleagues around the globe.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate full-stack, cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure (e.g., App Service, Azure Functions), using .NET (C#) on the back end and a modern front end (React/TypeScript).
  • Own solutions end-to-end: requirements clarification, implementation, automated testing and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain integrations using API-first principles (REST/GraphQL), event-driven patterns, and secure webhooks - managed through an API gateway.
  • Apply secure-by-design practices: threat modeling, secrets management and OIDC/OAuth2 - with compliance and auditability in mind.
  • Modern architecture: microservices, domain-driven design, Clean Architecture, and modular boundaries that reduce coupling and increase maintainability.
  • Ensure quality through automation: unit/integration tests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines with quality gates.
  • Collaborate closely with a skilled and supportive team that values shared standards, peer review, and knowledge exchange - so we consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • And of course, we work with AI to enhance our solutions where it adds measurable value.

Your Profile & Qualifications

The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems using methodical and data-driven approaches. They value precision, consistency, and thorough testing before deployment. They possess an understanding of cyber security principles, secure coding practices, and are comfortable working in an agile environment with iterative delivery. Furthermore, they demonstrate excellent documentation and communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and take ownership of engineering quality.

  • 3-5+ years of experience in full-stack development.
  • Strong back-end experience with .NET (C#), ASP.NET Core, and front-end experience like React/TypeScript.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Analytical mindset in development tasks.
