Become a MSc Tutor 2026 - Help Create an Inclusive and Welcoming Study Start!

Are you passionate about your MSc program and interested in helping new students feel at home at ITU? As an MSc Tutor, you’ll play a key role in making the Study Start a great experience for everyone - while also gaining valuable skills in leadership, communication, and teamwork.


About the Position

  • Key Activities:

    • Kick-off meeting: 29 May (14:30–16:00)

    • Planning workshops: 15 June & 10 August (14:00–16:00)

    • Study Start Days: 20-21 August

    • Freshers Festival: 5 September


What You’ll Be Doing
As an MSc Tutor, you’ll work closely with your fellow tutors and Head Tutors to plan and facilitate the Study Start for new MSc students. This includes:

  • Organizing and running both academic and social intro activities.

  • Introducing new students to practical elements of student life.

  • Supporting new students by answering questions about student life, both before (in Teams) and during the Study Start days.

  • Participating in shared events - including set-up, running, and clean-up. Shifts will be assigned, and tasks are shared as a team.

We welcome all MSc students at ITU - regardless of background, experience, or personality type. To create a welcoming and inclusive Study Start, we need a diverse group of tutors who can represent the many different students at ITU. Your unique perspective and experiences will help make the introduction to ITU meaningful for new students.


Salary and terms of employment
The employment is in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and SUL. You must be an ITU student to qualify as an MSc tutor at ITU.

The salary is based on the SUL agreement, with an hourly wage of 226,96 DKK (November 2025 level).

The academic part of the Study Start is estimated to 24 hours in total.

The period of employment will be from May 2026 to September 2026.
