At arrival, you will participate in our well-tested onboarding program, which consists of relocation support, thorough introduction to the workplace, help with all practical matters and an intensive in house language course.
You will be working and living in the beautiful city of Esbjerg. A city that has a lot to offer in terms of both nature and culture. Esbjerg is located at the seaside and is within driving distance of both Billund International Airport and the German border.
We have a well-functioning department with a psychiatric emergency department and four integrated bed sections.
We have the following specialized teams:
- Affective disorders
- Pregnancy and eating disorders
- Newly diagnosed schizophrenia
- Suicide prevention
- Neuropsychiatric
- Oligofreni psychiatry (in the city of Brørup)

In order to ensure the best possible treatment, The Mental Health Services collaborate with different specialties and other agencies regarding the individual patient. For example, the patient’s own GP, somatic hospitals, municipality, social services, institutions and patient-care organizations.
We are looking for a nurse who: - Has interest and curiosity about working in the Psychiatry

- Both can be part of a team, work independently and make decisions
- Can keep a cool head and a warm heart – even in stressful and urgent situations

Your employment starts with an intensive language course. You will participate in our well-tested in house language class that takes place in small groups with other international doctors and nurses. The classes will focus on communicative tasks so you will quickly be able to communicate with patients and colleagues. There are classes every day and after 5-6 months you work full-time and continue Danish lessons in the evening class.
