The research groups of Thomas Jepps and Morten Schak Nielsen at Department of Biomedical Sciences are looking for a dynamic and engaged laboratory technician or bioanalyst. The position is limited to 4 years with appointment from 1 November 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.

About us

Our research groups focus on vascular (Jepps) and cardiac (Nielsen) biology and although some specific methods vary, we work primarily on isolated tissues and cells. The Jepps group focuses on vascular physiology using predominantly proteomics (mass spectrometry) and myography to understand cellular and functional changes in blood vessels in hypertension. The Nielsen group specializes in the cardiac physiology with emphasis on the electrical control of cardiac activation. Our goal is to understand the propagation of electrical signal, how changes in propagation contributes to heart rhythm disturbances and to identify new treatments to prevent arrhythmia.

Our research groups are embedded in the ‘Physiology of the Circulation, Kidney and Lung’ theme, a vibrant and international environment with good possibilities for professional and personal development. The theme has a long history of collaboration between groups and as well as sharing resources for the benefit of all.
