We are looking for an IT Officer in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), for a project funded by the Villum Experiment program. The It-Officer will help design and run user study to collect user experience and description of haptic signals (e.g., “This vibration feels exciting like drums or heartbeat.”) from three types of haptic hardware that display vibrations, synthetic textures, and contactless ultrasound haptic signals.

The position is open from 1 March 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is temporary and will expire on 31 October 2025. The working hours will be 10 hours per week.

Job description
The IT Officer will contribute to various aspects of the project, including designing the user study, programming haptic signals, recruiting and running participants, preparing the transcripts, and processing/analyzing the data for a machine learning pipeline. Depending on the It-Officers background, they will have flexibility to be involved in developing the algorithms or participate in future publications and report.

Terms of salary and employment

The appointment will be based on the multi-union collective agreement for the Confederation of Teachers Unions and the Danish Confederation of Public Employees of 2010 (LC/CO10) and the trade union agreement for public service IT employees (PROSA).

You will be employed as it officer. The salary is based on seniority. Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
