Minjiang Restaurant is looking for a skilled and motivated full-time chef to join our kitchen team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, cares about quality and enjoys working in a busy and dynamic restaurant environment.

About the position

As our chef, you will have full responsibility for the kitchen and play an important role in the daily operation of the restaurant.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking full responsibility for the kitchen and its daily operation

• Preparing and presenting food for our buffet, à la carte menu and takeaway

• Planning and developing the menu

• Assigning tasks and coordinating the work among your colleagues

• Ensuring consistent quality and presentation of the food

• Maintaining good hygiene and a clean, organised kitchen

• Working efficiently and maintaining a high standard during busy periods

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Has good kitchen and cooking skills

• Is experienced in working in a professional kitchen and can cope with pressure

• Is responsible, structured and able to work independently

• Is open-minded and willing to work as part of a team

• Is flexible regarding working hours, including weekdays and weekends

• Has experience with Chinese cuisine – an advantage, but not a requirement
