The Pension Research Centre (PeRCent) at the Department of Finance, Copenhagen Business School, is seeking a Student Research Assistant to support research in household finance. This role primarily involves analyzing firm and household-level data, covering areas such as savings, pensions, housing, investments, mortgages, and credit behavior.

About PeRCent
The mission of the Pension Research Centre (PeRCent) is to create interest and knowledge about pension issues and through research, teaching and intermediation to contribute to the development of the pension system in Denmark. The activities of PeRCent are funded jointly in cooperation between CBS and partners from the pension sector in Denmark. A key objective of the Pension Research Centre (PeRCent) is to make high-quality contributions in the pension research area, through publications in books and leading scientific journals in economics and finance.

Your Role
As a Student Research Assistant, your tasks will include:
  • Conducting literature reviews to support research projects
  • Assisting with data collection and analysis
  • Preparing research presentations
  • Supporting PeRCent's educational and outreach activities

The role requires an average commitment of 15 hours per week, with flexibility during exam periods.

Your Profile
We are looking for a student in economics, finance, or a related field with:
  • A strong foundation in econometrics and statistics (experience with microeconometrics is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with STATA and R
  • Strong academic performance, initiative, and an independent work approach

Salary & Employment Terms
Employment follows the HK collective agreement and the OAO-S agreement under the Danish Ministry of Finance. Salary ranges from DKK 140.57 to DKK 147.46 per hour, depending on education and prior clerical experience. A 15% pension contribution is included.
