HydraSpecma is building a new strategic business area focused on liquid cooling infrastructure for data centers, and on behalf of HydraSpecma, Medarbejderne ApS is looking for a commercially strong and strategically minded Business Development Manager with solid knowledge of the data center industry and a clear understanding of how business is created within this market. 

 

This is not a traditional sales position focused on short-term pipeline activity and operational account management. The role is about understanding the market landscape, identifying future opportunities, and supporting the continued development of how HydraSpecma positions itself and expands into new market segments within one of the fastest growing infrastructure areas globally. 

 

The focus area is liquid cooling solutions for hyperscale, AI and high-performance computing environments, where HydraSpecma sees strong growth potential within hoses, pipes and fittings supplied to OEMs, EPCs, integrators and solution providers across the data center ecosystem. 

 

You will become part of a newly established Data Center Cooling Excellence Center and work closely with both commercial and technical stakeholders while helping shape the commercial direction, strategic priorities and long-term investments within the area. 

 

The position can be based in Silkeborg, Skjern or Gothenburg. 

 

 

The Role 

Your primary responsibility will be to help identify where HydraSpecma should position itself in the market, how the company should approach the industry and which customers, partnerships and stakeholders will be strategically important moving forward. 

 

Initially, the primary focus will be the Nordic market, where investments within hyperscale, AI and mission critical infrastructure continue to grow rapidly. Over time, the ambition is to expand into selected EMEA markets as the business area develops further. 

 

The role reports directly to the Group Director - EVP and is closely connected to HydraSpecma’s long-term strategic investment into Data Center Cooling, developed in close collaboration with the Head of Technology. 

 

You are expected to enter the role with a strong understanding of the market landscape, customer structures and decision-making processes across the industry. You understand where projects are initiated, who influences specifications and supplier decisions and how long-term relationships are built within technically complex sales environments. 

 

At the same time, you understand how market positioning, timing and stakeholder management influence the ability to gain access to projects and establish a long-term commercial foothold within the market. 

 

Your role will therefore be to help HydraSpecma gain market access, establish strategic relationships and contribute to defining the long-term commercial direction of the business area. 

 

The position combines strategic business development, market insight, stakeholder management and high-level commercial positioning. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Identify and develop opportunities across hyperscalers, colocation providers, EPCs, integrators and other relevant stakeholders within the data center market while helping validate where HydraSpecma can create the strongest long-term position. 

 

Build and develop relationships with key decision-makers and industry stakeholders across the Nordic region and contribute to establishing HydraSpecma as a relevant strategic partner within the market. Contribute with market insight, customer understanding and commercial direction while supporting investment discussions, proof-of-concept initiatives and the continued development of the business area internally. 

 

Support organizational alignment around the strategic direction of the area and act as a commercial bridge between technology, management and the external market. 

 

A future Key Account Manager is expected to handle much of the operational sales activity, while this role will focus on market access, strategic business development and establishing the right commercial foundation for long-term growth. 

 

Your Background 

You most likely come from the data center industry or from a technical infrastructure environment related to cooling, fluid systems or mission critical infrastructure, where you have worked with complex technical and commercial sales environments. 

 

Ideally, you already know the Nordic data center landscape and have insight into the relevant stakeholders, consultants, EPCs, integrators and decision-makers operating within the market. 

 

You combine commercial understanding with strategic thinking and are comfortable working across both technical and commercial environments where relationship management, positioning and timing are important for success. 

 

You are motivated by building something new and thrive in a role where structures, processes and direction are still evolving and where your contribution will have visible impact on the future development of the area. 

 

Experience from business development, strategic sales, consulting or market expansion within data centers, cooling infrastructure or adjacent industries will be highly relevant.
