To continue fuelling Swappie’s growth and profitability, we are now looking for anAccount Manager (Trade Sourcing)to join our global Supply team. In this role you will buy-and-sell second-hand devices for suppliers globally. Supported by Swappie’s team of analysts to guide ‘what’, ‘when’ and ‘at what price’ to transact - your focus will be to leverage those inputs to negotiate and execute the best deals for Swappie (i.e. - finding the best “how” and “who” to transact with). Additionally, you will find, develop and grow new suppliers across geographies and segments to diversify and scale Swappie’s supplier base. What you will be expected to deliver? * Own supplier relationships for your respective region - with full responsibility for all transactions with them, from receiving offers to payments to delivery to return handling * Find and grow additional supplier accounts - for closer-to-origin access to device volumes * Negotiate payment & logistical terms and pricing to procure volumes profitably per S&OP plans * Own and develop Swappie’s sourcing and supplier management practice What we are looking for in the “ideal” candidate? * An educational background in a relevant field (could be bachelors, masters or doctorates) * 2-7 years experience in sales (or purchasing), in short-sale cycle B2B contexts, such as - OEM sales, parts, IT equipment, fast moving consumer goods, pharmaceuticals / medtech, etc. (scope of role and individual responsibilities is customizable to a candidate’s relevant experience) * Strong negotiation skills to be able to creatively and/or collaboratively make the best deals (‘Good sense of numbers’ preferred - to be able to make quick trade-offs across multiple factors) * Demonstrated persuasiveness and perseverance - to maintain and grow relationships long-term * Diligent work ethic - to find, follow-up and close the best deals, optimizing across multiple factors * A penchant for detail and organizing chaos - because we’ll need to have fun with lots of both :) * English fluency is necessary; Additional language skills preferred, other than Finnish & Swedish What we can offer you * A place where you are making a difference on the resource consumption of the world by scaling the circular economy and help to make it mainstream * An unparalleled opportunity to become an expert in hyper-scaling: not only will you be a leader in a VC-backed business, you’ll also be coached by some of the best * Genuine influence and personal impact: you will work daily with the founders and management team to shape the company's strategy and direction * Be part of a passionate, friendly and transparent culture: you will be part of discussions on tech, fundraising, product, brand and global expansion * A forwarding thinking working environment and all the benefits you’d expect from a top scale-up, including stock options!
